Located in Wuzhen, an ancient outpost on the 1,400 mile Grand Canal that linked Beijing and Hangzhou in Imperial times, the Wuzhen Clubhouse is a well-being center where visitors will be revived by elegant architecture, peaceful surroundings, and, of course, the town’s lifeblood-- water.
Wuzhen developed in the Ming and Qing dynasties around a dense network of canals and waterways and is now comprised of hundreds of bridges. It has been home to a thriving merchant class and literati who have long admired Wuzhen for its healing waters, literary salons, and peacefulness for over 1,300 years.
The Wuzhen Clubhouse is a pair of timber manor houses set in ornamental courtyards. In addition to the hotel’s tranquility, guests can also enjoy the hotel’s spa, organic Chinese cuisine, and exploring the surrounding water town.
