Corporate Events:

Tired of yet another meeting in an identical five-star hotel on the conference circuit? Need to recharge your batteries in a remote monastery in the Tibetan foothills or on a tea plantation in the mountains outside Shanghai?  Whatever your wish, The WildChina Collection can rise to the occasion.

WildChina is a pioneer in corporate event management in China. The WildChina Collection is our choice of China’s most unusual and entrancing hotels and conference venues. Our team specializes in offering unique, tailor-made experiences and will provide full logistical and planning support for all kinds of events.

These are just some of the opportunities available in The WildChina Collection:

  • Understand Global Issues. Visit rural communities to see the challenges facing developing nations. Throw yourself into a 2 to 3 day NGO-run water conservation project in the villages.
  • Himalayan Corporate Retreats. Hold a board meeting or other corporate events in a traditional Tibetan mansion in the shadow of the 6,700m (22,000ft) Mt. Kawagebo. End the meeting with a 2-day trek along ancient Himalayan pilgrimage routes.
  • Meetings on the Grand Canal. Take over an Imperial Chinese water town. Hold your board meetings in the ancient granary, attend a gala dinner overlooking the Grand Canal beneath a temple pagoda, and stay in sumptuous merchants’ houses – a unique corporate experience.
  • The WildRace. Based upon the TV reality series, The Amazing Race, WildChina has developed The WildRace, a friendly competition which combines team-building and travel. WildRaces are designed to develop the contestants’ group problem solving skills in unfamiliar environments, and the routes will incorporate historical and cultural sites.
Recommended Properties:
  • A uniquely elegant and authentic heritage mansion in the traditional Bai style. The Linden Center is an educational and cultural retreat owned by an American couple, Brian and Jeanee Linden. Housed in a traditional courtyard mansion originally built by a powerful local warlord, the center offers a range of activities in a meticulously restored, peaceful setting.

  • The Songtsam Retreat, a collection of 24 dry stone structures spread out over 21 acres of hillside, is surely one of the most spectacular hotels in the world. Designed to take you away to a lost world of timeless tranquility and endless silence, the Retreat is an ideal location for those seeking to escape.

  • Inspired by the stately homes of Suzhou and originally built by Ming dynasty nobleman Wang Ao over 500 years ago, Huilaotang translates as “place where old friends gather”. Today, it has been beautifully restored by one of Wang’s descendents, Xing Weiying. Each piece of furniture comes from Xing’s unique private collection of Suzhou antiques.

Retreats

Retreats:

A treat for the senses and a sanctuary for body and soul. A perfect venue for Tai-Chi, meditation, Yoga, or simply kicking back with a group of like-minded people.

China’s history of meditation, artistic refinement, and the quest for spiritual fulfillment has long been a source of fascination for foreign visitors. From the mystical Shangri-La of the Tibetan foothills to centuries-old Zen Buddhist temples in Suzhou, China has long been a source of curiosity and enlightenment.

Our Retreats are chosen to conjure up this tradition, and to ensure, as an ancient Chinese philosopher once said, “all in the world know the beauty of the beautiful”.
