Shanghai Tours

For centuries just a backwater coastal village, today Shanghai is China's largest and most cosmopolitan city. Begin your Shanghai tour with a walk along the Bund and gaze across the water at the futuristic skyline of Pudong. Give your credit card a workout on East Nanjing road, one of China's most famous shopping streets. Then, let your local tour guide introduce you to the classical yuyuan gardens - a rich person's playground turned operations base for the Small Swords Society during the Taiping Rebellion, and now one of Shanghai's main attractions. In the afternoon, sip coffee along the tree-lined streets of the French concession where art deco buildings echo the glitz and glamor of Shanghai's past as "Paris of the East". Shanghai remains a city where East meets West, giving it many faces and making it one of China's most intriguing destinations.
